This movie is part of our series "Other Favorite Films". This category includes films that do not feature a particular star from our site, but which in our view represent a major contribution of a silent movie to the Arts and Culture of the world.

"The World and Its Woman" is an emotional drama. The events in the film occur before and during the Bolshevik revolution in Russia. The film was created by the Oscar-winning director Frank Lloyd.

Geraldine Farrar, who in real life was a distinguished opera soprano, plays an American opera singer swept by the revolution.  Lou Tellegen, her love interest in the film, was her husband from 1916 to 1920.
